FAQ's...
When can I start? How long is your waiting list?
As we are still expanding our Centre we do have a range of vacancies and can accommodate most requests for a position. However if you are looking for care in the future we recommend that you put your name on our waiting list so that we can plan for your commencement, keep in touch with you and ensure that you will have a place when the time comes that you need it.
What is included in the daily fees?
Our daily fees include 4 meals (morning tea, hot lunch, afternoon tea and late snack), linen and baby wipes for babies, sunscreen and a stimulating educational program.
Parents need to provide sheets for sleep for children who are not in the baby’s room; bottles need to come in filled while the child is taking bottles, a hat and change of clothes.
Do I need to bring a piece of fruit?
No, all the children’s nutritional needs are met through our menu.
What age do you take children from, and how are the children grouped?
We take babies from 6 weeks of age through to 6 years. Our centre is divided into four rooms:
6 weeks to 18 months years – Bilby Room
18 months to 2 1/2 years – Koala Room
2 1/2 - 3 1/2 years – Possum Room
3 1/2 - 6 years - Wombat Room
Do you have a preschool program?
Our preschoolers undertake a comprehensive transition to school program which covers all areas of development. This year we are making contacts with local schools to ensure that our programs match with the schools. See our 'news and events' page for more about our preschool program.
Can my child bring their comforter?
Yes, children are able to bring a comfort toy or blanket for sleep, however we don’t allow children to bring toys to play with the other children as we are not able to guarantee their security.
Are you accredited?
Yes we are registered and accredited with the National Childcare Accreditation Council and are currently undertaking the necessary steps to continue our accreditation. You can get more information about child care accreditation at www.ncac.gov.au .
Can I get Government benefits?
Yes, most families are entitled to government child care benefits (CCB) and the 50% Childcare Tax Rebate. We are able to help you with advice on registration; however each family must call the Family Assistance Office to register on 13 61 50. The CCB reduces the family’s weekly child care fee, however the 50% Rebate is paid by the government on a quarterly basis.
What hours are you open?
We are open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6pm.
How secure is your Centre?
The front door of the Centre is locked. Each family is given a FOB card to allow them access to the Centre. A $20 deposit is returned when you return the care upon leaving the centre.
